Project Description: Design, staged development and operation (until 1989) of the Ulan Opencast Coal Mine, and associated coal handling and coal wash plant. This development had an annual production capacity in excess of 5 million tonnes. The project introduced for the first time in Australia, mobile inpit crushing and shiftable conveying technology.
